The pension “Gerumo namai”, located in the suburbs of Kaunas, in a beautiful natural environment, seeks to provide high-quality social care and nursing to the elderly and persons with disabilities. The main goals of the organization are to provide comprehensive care and support to those who experience daily life challenges due to old age, disability or loneliness. The boarding house also cooperates with other institutions providing social care and implements projects aimed at improving this sphere.
“House of Kindness” offers 50 places for women and men of all ages, and accepts residents from all over Lithuania. The choice of premises includes single, double and triple rooms, where residents can feel safe and comfortable. Cultural activities are organized in the boarding house – concerts, theaters, various celebrations, and residents participate in meetings with interesting people and cooperate with other organizations of a similar nature.
Spiritual life also occupies an important place: there is a chapel in the boarding house, where holy masses are held, led by the priest of Raudondvaris. “House of Kindness” was established in 1999 and since then it has been working independently. The aim of the institution is to become one of the largest and highest quality social service centres in Kaunas and Lithuania, where various services would be provided in one place.
