Public institution “Akacijų užuovėja” is a licensed social service institution that meets the requirements of the European Union, located in a quiet part of Kaunas city, surrounded by natural beauty. The institution specializes in complex long-term and short-term care services for the elderly and those who, due to age, health or social problems, can no longer take care of their daily needs independently.
Residents are offered comfortable and adapted living conditions – single, double and triple rooms, equipped with the necessary furniture and aids. Comprehensive services are ensured: accommodation, health care, nursing, four-fold meals, personal hygiene procedures and satisfaction of individual needs. Taking into account the health status of the population, special diets, individual care plans and activities to maintain daily living skills are organized.
Employment and leisure time of the population also occupies an important place. Various activities are organized – from reading and handicrafts to celebrating holidays and communicating in groups. In addition, residents can use the library, the Internet, participate in religious events or visit church.
