Public institution “Globavita” is a cozy and caring place for the elderly and people with disabilities, located in the beautiful environment of the town of Katyčiai. These care homes offer long-term and short-term social care for those who can no longer take care of themselves due to age or disability. In a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, residents find not only physical safety, but also emotional comfort.
The windows of the care home open to the picturesque town and the historic Katyčiai church, which is included in the Register of Cultural Heritage. Globavita cherishes traditions – Lithuanian national holidays are celebrated, events and activities are organized, and cooperation with the local community is performed. The care of the population is based on respect, love and individual needs. A team of professional employees consisting of 28 specialists provides complex services: health care, permanent care, hygiene care and employment activities. Every resident is given attention 24/7. Meals are organized four times a day, and those who wish can cook independently in the kitchenettes.
Employment activities are adapted to individual wishes – from handicrafts, drawing and listening to music to the use of the library and technology.
