The Mielagėnai Pal. J. Matulaitis Parish Care Home is a place where elderly people and adults with disabilities can find peace, care and community. These care homes seek to ensure not only the necessary care, but also warmth, coziness, and opportunities to spend time in an interesting and meaningful way. About 80 wards live here, who receive complex social care and personal health care services. More than 40 competent employees make sure that every day is comfortable, that there is delicious and healthy food, and that wards are provided with all the necessary medical and hygiene services.
The spirit of community spirit is especially fostered in the care home – calendar and state holidays are organized, birthdays, exhibitions, concerts, sports competitions and excursions are organized. Everyone, regardless of their health condition, can discover activities according to their interests. Animal therapy, gardening workshops, creative activities, board game evenings and many other meaningful activities are carried out here, allowing the wards to feel full-fledged members of the community.
The pastoral program of the care home combines the guidelines of faith with everyday life. Holy Mass, personal prayers and the opportunity to go to confession help the wards to experience inner peace.
