Šiauliai Palliative Care and Nursing Centre “Prasmė” is an inpatient institution that provides long-term and short-term social care services to elderly persons with disabilities and adults with severe disabilities. Our goal is to create a safe and adapted environment where residents can meet their basic needs, feel dignified and, if possible, strengthen their ability to take care of themselves independently or even return to society.
The mission of the care home is to ensure high-quality care for every resident, to foster their rights and interests, to promote integration into society and to create conditions for the development of individual abilities. Following this philosophy, we provide residents with a wide range of services adapted to the individual level of independence: accommodation, catering, personal hygiene and household services, health care, social work, leisure and religious activities.
We are ready not only to meet daily needs, but also to help solve problems faced by residents, organize leisure time, provide consultations, represent their interests or mediate in the performance of civic duties. We also provide transportation services and constantly take care of the management of medical and social documentation.
The vision is a modern, constantly improving care home, which in cooperation ensures high-quality services to residents and helps them to live with dignity, safety and as much as possible independently. Social care home “Meaning” is a place where life takes on a new meaning.
