Public institution “Dvaro sodyba” (Šateikiai Care Home) is a private care home located in the village of Šateikiai, Plungė district, in the historic building of Broel-Plateriai Manor. The manor park outside the window, the ensemble buildings and the peaceful landscape of Samogitia create a cozy, bright environment where seniors can feel safe, respected and heard.
We provide long-term and short-term care and nursing services, taking into account the individual needs of each resident. Residents are accommodated in spacious, modernly equipped rooms – about 7-10 sq. m. m of personal space, and comfort is ensured by private bathrooms (toilet and shower) and the necessary nursing equipment. The large windows overlooking the park provide a lot of natural light and a sense of tranquility.
Our team takes care of residents around the clock: we ensure constant health monitoring and, if necessary, transportation to an outpatient treatment institution. Visiting massage and physiotherapy specialists come to the care home, and social workers actively organize employment activities, promote independence, mobility and involvement in community life. Mass is held regularly in the nearby church.
Careful eating is also important for everyday life – food is served four times a day according to a menu drawn up by specialists, always adapted to individual needs. There is also a self-service kitchen, where residents can make their own coffee or tea.
“Manor Homestead” is a place where living history meets modern care: Šateikiai Manor has been mentioned in written sources since the seventeenth century, and the main manor house was built in the second half of the eighteenth century and authentically restored in 2023 (globaslauga.lt)
